For the snowblower...try Home Depot. They allot a certain amount of money that can go out to local organizations each year. 2 years ago for our Tricky Tray I was able to get a BBQ and a shop vac out of them. You can also see if they have any floor models they are willing to part with.
I kind of laughed about the shop vac at first, but people bid on it like crazy. I think the snow blower would be like that too. It is one of those things that everyone wants, but not everyone spends the money to buy.
Kma, we hadn't considered doing a tricky tray, but I'll bring up the idea and see if anyone thinks it sounds good. We would probably have room for it.
I like the idea of restaurant certs too. Maybe we could do that as well. The TV idea might be better than the snowblower. You can use more than one TV if you already have one, but a snowblower?
sorry, i lost internet connection. this is continued from above. we also had a desk donated by the prison wood working classes. it was beautiful. it's worth a shot to call them and see what they can do. we had a basket of office supplies one year. a garden fountain might be something to look at.
Are you guys doing a Tricky Tray/Chinese Auction? There are corporations that will donate a "basket" of product, depending on what the benefit is for. There's another thread in Fundraising under "Calling All Tricky Tray Experts"--check out that one.
