Because of the nature of the beast --loud music, overly excited kids, messy food and tons of people -- we accept what we cannot change about our school carnival. As much as we try to prepare and be organized - things will still go a little crazy.
If a person from outside our school family attended -- they would probably be certain they were at the school CIRCUS not the school carnival! Regardless, it is always fun and there is never a dull moment. )
In the other's schools defense maybe this was their first carnival, ever. Ok, even that doesn't seem to do justice. Who knew a table on a hillside wouldn't hold anything?
We do have our games in the halls but they are strategically placed. The only problem we ever had trouble with was when we put the Haunted House as one of the first events they came too. Not a good idea. It was WAY popular.
to add on to 7.....make sure your doors are marked clearly EXIT and ENTER...and if you have maps you are handing out mark it on the map. Ppl will, for some stupid reason, enter and exit the same door regardless if there there are 2 doors (the big thing I heard the first year I did it was...oh we didn'tk know we could use that door)
As sad as this is you have to plan the details to a carnival at a preschool level
