I think you'd find it very helpful to check out the Bonus Tools section of this website and take a look at some of the sample bylays. They're sure to list job descriptions for the four officer positions you mention.

Hi I am now the PTO president for our school. And our entire board is new this year. Past years did not organize any info. We have to basically start from scratch. I am trying to put together a form that shows the "job" desription of the board members. President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary. Does anyone have this for their PTO or any ideas? We have a good group on the board, but I noticed that if it is not spelled out...some (one) tends to run off in many directions. And a job description may help out for us and for the future. My head is spinnign as it is. With nothing to look at from the past years---it is a little overwhelming.
