I'm not clear if this is a party or more of a carnival type atmosphere, but here goes...
Lei making table
Limbo and hula dancing
BBQ pork for eating (paper mache pig roast?)
Volcano punch (using dry ice)
Seascape making (glass jars, sand, seashells. You could even add distilled water and seal with water-proof silicone)
Surfer pics (put a surfboard on a platform and decorate around and behind to make it look like whoever is on the board is in the water. You could even put raised wood pieces for their feet to go so they don't slide off.)
This might not be alot of help but our carnival this year is "Luau by the Lake" (Hidden Lake Elementary) and we have tried to have booths with games of this theme. So far we will be having Pineapple Toss (like bowling), Hawiian Ice machine, Musical chairs to luau music, ect. I think you could offer the same old games we always rely on seeing at carnival's but prizes should be in this theme. We will be given away flip flop keychains, bears with luau skirts and multi-color fish. Just look in Oriental Trading for great Hawiian gift ideas! Good Luck!
I got a lead on a great polynesian dance troup in our area and would like to combine a culture night with a Hawaiian - south pacific week at our school for next year. TIP: I got the lead thru our local Public Museum.
This would be one or two days during the school day and one family night event - at school.
