We have the executive board members chair the commitee. I tried to put in a position on the board for an Event Coordinator. We could barely come up with enough people to fill the spots we already had. I say if you have the money, why not. Just run it by the general population first. They may not want their hard earned fundraising money to be spent on that.
If you could hire an Event Coordinator to organize, promote and plan your fundraisers, such as golf tournaments, Spring Fairs, Fall Festivals would you do it? If so, would you want to pay them a flat fee or a fee plus commission?
I am wondering if it would not be a way to lighten some of the responsibility for the same few who seem to work on all the committees year after year and if you hire someone who knows how to market your activity and get the community involved, would it not raise your profits.
Also, for some of us, who have never done such activities as golf tournaments or fall festivals, the preperation and research would be eliminated. We could use the time to better serve the school and the activity once it nears the date.
I would love to hear your feelings on this.
Thank you!
