Too the PTA/School or project-- If the employee was being paid -- they wouldnt be a 'volunteer'

A lot use it for matching grants ie-
School XYZ want to build garden classroom

City give $10,000 if grant aproves in amtching funds
School get
local business 2 donate $5,000
Walmart sends 2 employee @ $1500
Comunity donate work hrs at 15/hr $3500

Could someone explain the $dollar amount. Does the company donate money to ptas or that money is given to the employee? Thank u for info.

Not sure on the $$ but Sam's Club in our area does this too [img]smile.gif[/img]

Verizon: $750 for 50 hours
ExxonMobil: $500 for 20 hours (can get up to 4 a year)

WalMart has the Volunteerism Always Pays program... $250 for 25 hours every 6 months.

I have been working on a list of businesses that give grants for employees that volunteer "x" amount of hours. I thought I would share. If anyone else wants to share that would be great. This companies may not be in every city.

Allstate
American Eagle $250 for 25 Hours
ConocoPhillips
Gap, Inc. $150 for 15 Hours
Intel $200 for 20 Hours
Macy’s $250 for 15 Hours
($500 maximum)
Motorola $150 for 40 Hours
PNM $100 for 12 Hours or $200 for 25 Hours
Qwest $500 for 60 Hours in 6 month period
State Farm $500 for 40 Hours
