holiday shop envelopes

Stephanie,
We also do our own Santa Shop and have been for 5 years. This is my first year actually running it by myself - last year I observed and took LOTS of notes! Anyway, I decided some things needed updating.

A form is sent home the day before Thanksgiving Vacation and stapled to it is a regular white envelope (which we purchase from the Dollar Tree). Volunteers are to write down the dollar amounts the students spend on each gift so that their parents can see how the money was spent BUT the forms we currently use do not have any room to write what each student spends. So I have changed it to a tri-fold form. The first section explains what the Santa Shop is and when it will be. The second section is for the parents to help fill out by writing maximum amounts to spend on particular people (ex., Mom, Dad, Sister...). The third section is for volunteers to fill out the day of - with the $ amounts actually spent on each person.

I could ramble on and on about this but I'll spare you! But if there is any other particular information you'd like some suggestions on I'd be happy to help out!

Hi Steph!

We have been doing our own store for a few years now and it has been awesome. We just send home a flyer that parents can fill out and denote what the kids can spend on whom. We do not send home envelopes. The parents just fill out the form and stick it in their own envelope with their money. If you want me to email you our flyer/form give me your email address and I would be happy to send it to you.
