The school secretary had a cookbook from "Books are Fun" the other day and they had a section for just baskets. I will find out the name of that book and post it later on.
We will probably send a note to parents asking for a donation for their child's class theme. Some of my ideas are:
Bass Fishing Basket (extremely popular around here)
Golf basket (I am told keeping up with golf balls gets costly)
Make over basket (this would include lotions, bath products, hopefully donations from a beauty salon or two)
Spring Basket (someone on here had used a flower pot and spring related products in it)
Local college (we bleed blue around here so I'd like to have a UK basket. You could also use other sports teams that are popular in your area)
Chocolate Lovers basket (nuff said)
You could also do a a craft or scrapbooking basket.
Your school basket if you have alot of items with your logo on it.
Parents night out basket could include a donation from a resturuant, theater tickets, a gas card, maybe even a motel room, complete with a limo.
That is what pops in my head right now. Search for those other links there are some great ideas.
I am interested in this concept...we've never had an auction before. Can some of you give me some of your "themes" for your baskets that you auction off?
Also, how to you entice your parents to donate to these baskets? What sort of participation do you get from your parents?
