In 2002, 2003 and 2004 we made at least $10,000 PROFIT on our catalog sale. In 2005 it was $7,500 and this year it was $7,000. Our % of participation seemed to be up this year but many people sold 1-5 items. Don't get me wrong $7000 is stil a lot of money, but when you count on (or hope for) $10,000 it is tough! It means another sale in the spring...
we saw our scholastic bookfair be cut by almost half...yikes. But on the other hand our fall catalog sale was up by around 1200.00. I guess it was a give or take thing...this is the first year in a few years that a fundraiser has been up...who knows??

I'm just trying to gauge how fundraising is going in other schools. With the increase in gas, electric and heating fuel prices, are you all seeing a decrease in the amount of money your fund raisers are brining in?
Our PTA wrapping paper chair worked so hard this year and we only saw 1/2 of our normal intake - so I just wanted to get a feel for how others are doing.
Thanks
