For Blockbuster - thanks for everyone who suggested sending the donation request to the regional office. Last year I sent to corporate and got nothing. Two weeks ago I read on here to go thru the regional offices and just got an envelope with 6 Free Rental Coupons. Thanks so much.
Hi,
Thanks for the replies. However, the school that I am fundraising for is a high school so we can't really use some of the suggestions that were posted. I'm sure that they will help others though. I was really just curious if Taco Bell and Blockbuster donated items for school auctions. However, our letters were sent out so I can just wait and see.
Chris
The Del Taco in our area donates nacho cheese and chips for our family picnic at the end of the school year.
Also, McDonald's has been very generous to us as well. We hold a McDonald's night and earn a portion of the sales. McDonald's also sends the Hamburglar to our Jog-a-thon and hands out free cheeseburger certificates to the kids. The Hometown Buffet Bee also attends our Jog-a-thon and gives out certificates for free kid's meals. Check your local restaurants! They love getting involved with the schools!
Wendy's Old Fashion Hamburgers and Chic-Fil-A are FAR better corporate partners. We get HUNDREDS of free coupons to give our kids from these fast food restaurants. They also donated baskets to our auction, coupons to PARENTS for joining the PTO, etc. We use their 12 oz cups (donated) to advertise their restaurants.
If you are looking to incorporate McDonald's into your school, check out their FREE enrichment programs. Ronald McDonald will come into your school and do a magic show while talking to kids about a many different topics. Our McDonald's also provides all of the toys for a children's game day that my service league puts on during our town's major festival. I'd bet they'd be a great source for carnival toys and prizes if you'd ask your local franchise owner.
