Ditto Jersey Gal. But we do not do these as fundraisers. Part of our theme days is the FRC's campaign to "Say No To Drugs Week" in October.
We've had Decade Day. Dress up in your favorite era. Crazy Socks, Sports Day (wear a shirt or hat of your favorite team) My kids are asking for a Farm Day and a History Day. (That's my kids!). You could do a story book character day for National Literacy Week, but that is so close to Halloween.
I'm not sure that you want to do this, but our monthly PTO Fun Days include: Sno-Cone Day, Watermelon Day, Popcorn Day, Christmas Story Reading Day (we are not very diverse), and Cocoa Day. I think the new prez is adding an Apple Day, and Cookie Day.
We do a Crazy Hat day. It works the same way - kids pay $1. We also do a Team Spirit day. Around here it's the Eagles, so you pay $1 and you wear Eagle's garb. We used to do Crazy Hair, but got away from that for some reason. We have crazy clothes day, where kids wear mismatched silly stuff. Reading this post makes me think our school is a little crazy...
We are planning a "hat day" as a small fundraiser. The children pay $1 to wear a hat, visor, etc to school for the day. We did this last year and the kids LOVE it. We were wanting to have a "special day" like this every quarter. We were just trying to come up with some other cute ideas like this for the day. Any ideas? By the way, our children are K-5.
