Just thought I would add my 2 cents. PTO Manager is a great way to track volunteer hours as well as volunteer employers. You could easily run a report that would show you all volunteers who have contributed hours and their corresponding employer. You can find out more about PTO Manager at www.ptotoday.com/manager/
VIP - Volunteer Incentive Program
The Volunteer Incentive Program recognizes employees' contribution of time and talent to nonprofit organizations located in their community or surrounding areas. Under the program, employees are eligible to apply for a grant on behalf of the qualified organization where they volunteered 50 hours or more during the year. The Foundation rewards these employee volunteers with a $750 check for presentation to the designated organization. Employees may request VIP grants on behalf of two separate organizations in a 12-month period for a total of $1,500 each year.
Twice a year, we contact volunteers who have at least 20 hours of volunteering in and ask them to check with their employers to see if such a program exists--that has worked well for us, and requires a very small amount of effort.
Most companies do
Lowes', Home Depot, Sony, Mattel, even Bill Gates and his MSoft.
I dont now if their is any actuall list on any nonprofit board, site or listserve.
We send letters to parents to take to their employers about the Califronia Family Volunteer Act (no the correct title-I cant think of it presently) that covers employers must give 40hrs per year for their employees to volunteer at their childs school (nonpaid days off though), assisting with donations, upcoming projects, and a blurb about volunteer matching funds.

Does anyone know where I can get a list of corporations that give donations based on employee volunteer hours at the school. I know that Exxon and Walmart do this, but I don't know of any other companies that do. Often one spouse doesn't realize that mentioning this could help their school or it's a program that's been in place for so long at the company they don't even realize it exists.
