Carnival rides: Worth the money???

18 years 10 months ago #88155 by ScottMom#1
We did one of those strawberry spinner things and didn't make money on it but the line was always busy and the events around it did great while siblings waited in line. We got a good price on an obstacle course inflatable and broke even on it, but there was always a line b/c only 2 people could go at once. Honestly, the only rented thing we continually raise money on is the smaller inflatable for the younger kids. My 5 year old son went on ours at least 10 times because he could do it without anyones help and had lots of fun-that and the duck pond.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Has anyone out there had actual carnival rides at their SPring carnival? If so, was it worth it, did it bring money in that made it worthwhile etc??? Any advice, pros or cons would be appreciated by me! Thanks!
