I am very excited because I think this is what I can do with those HP ones that I mentioned a couple of message ago. But unfortunately I just called my local OfficeMax to make sure they do it, and they said they will NOT take Canon or Epson because they "don't qualify".
Pomom, you're a genius. I've just been tossing those Epson cartridges though it pains me to do so. Kept thinking they must be good for something somewhere. Now I know. Thanks!
Marie, funny you should ask. I was just in Office Max today and received another ream for my supply closet. Upon each visit, you may receive one ream (500 count) per ink cartridge. When I realized last year that the school would not accept Epson, a friend of mine steered me in the direction of Office Max. For CoPREZ, since you have a ton of Epson cartridges, perhaps you might want to donate your reams of paper back to the school. Just a thought!
pomom - How many do you have to give OfficeMax to get a ream of paper?
Does anyone know if any of the cartridge companies take HP c5010d or c5011d? They weren't on empties4cash's list of most common, and I wasn't sure about the printerhead thing. Cartridgesforkids says they will give .10 for them, but that seems hardly worth their shipping cost.
CoPREZ:
I too, am a prisoner of the useless Epson ink cartridge. Although I can not help the school earn monies for my "dead" Epson cartridges, I do have a suggestion for you if this applies in your area. Office Max will trade them in for a ream (500 count) of recycled computer paper. Since the limit is one per visit, I keep them in a ziploc bag in my van so I can run in whenever I'm in the area. I don't think anyone takes Epson cartridges. They are basically just ink bottles, without any electronic components. I think the companies only recycle ones with components.
We use Kashforkids, and I always send the InkBank pricelist in with the KashforKids cartridges because they will mathc InkBank's higher paybacks. I do have a bunch that neither takes, I will look into this other place.
Does anyone know of anyone who takes the roller-style cartidges, with the film?
