We had an awesome time doing the Entertainment books as a fundraiser. It was fun for the parents because it was something different and our school wasn't responsible for any lost or damaged books (took a load off our mind.) The parents were sick and tired of the mag. sale and wanted something different. The rep did everything she promised and even took care of those of us that worked hard on the fundraiser with free books. Plus we made a great profit. We were very happy.
We've worked with Entertainment for the past few years. They give us books for our staff (up to 60) and also comp us (at no charge) the books that we hounded people to return (which is usually 25 or so).
Biggest problem with this fundraiser is that it takes a lot of paper tracking and follow up with people to get the orders right and books back if they did not order.
We've used Kids Stuff coupon books. They give a free book to the teachers for their work in collecting the books and/or payment. If there are any unreturned books (within reason) they don't charge you. We had 4 unreturned books and they told use not to worry about it.
I would like to know from people that have done this fundraiser recently if they got any free books from the company. I have heard of the company giving free books to teachers that had 0 loss and to the PTA board for doing the fundraiser. Some have gotten the Gold C and some the Entertainment book some both. I am in CA.
