I did a calendar this year for my school. I started by going to all of the neighborhood businesses. I brought a letter to each of them asking them if they would like to purchase ad space in a calendar that the PTO was making. Them went to a local printing company and had them printed up. You really have to work closely with the principal on this. You need to coordinate with them all of the days off school, half days, spring and winter breaks, if you have any shows or plays that the school puts on, report card days, and ANY events that the PTO has planned. After I collected all of the money for the ads that the businesses purchased and printed the calendars I then had parents join the PTO and pay membership dues and with their membership they receive a copy of the school calendar. Hopes this can get you started. If you have any questions please email me This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I am the new president of our PTO and we are trying to come up with new fundraiser ideas. I saw on here where someone had mentioned a SCHOOL CALENDAR with school events and field trips and such being on there as well as holidays and stuff. If anyone has any information about this type of fundraiser, if it worked for you, where did you get started, who makes the calendars, etc. I would love any help I can get.
