We did Art Cards with World Wise last year for the first time and we raised $2,500. We had about 3/4 of our kids participate. (meaning that that many completed the permission slip). We are definitely doing it again this year. I think it is a great fundraiser.
I like sandy candy, but it there is a ton of waste! We sold it at our carnival last year and I'm not sure we will do it again. Even though there was a huge line and the kids love it.

I wanted to pass along, that the company that I work with is initiating a safety campaign which has the added element of the fundraiser, your facility would earn up to 50% of the profit.
Educators and parents are loving this idea as it is one educational, entertaining and actually saving lives. This is a national safety campaign and would love to talk with anyone who may be interested in implementing this program in their schools.

We have done the Sandy Candy at our Mardi Gras celebration for the past two years and we get our stuff from Fun Services and the bottles they provide are cone shape at the top so the kids just squeeze their favorite flavors in the tubes then put the lids on top! They have a great time doing it and enjoy the treat AFTER school. We do not do it as a fundraiser though--we do it for 1.00 and make no profit!
