Hi there! I'm fundraising with my team for the Breast Cancer 3-Day in Philadelphia and I'm using www.fundingfactory.com
You sign up on-line, it's free, and it's great! You just collect old cell phones and ink cartridges, send them to the funding factory in postage paid boxes (they send them to you!) and they will donate a certain amount of money (or you can choose tangible rewards) to your organization. I went to a cingular wireless store and they gave me 100 old phones!! Try places like Staples and Office Max for ink cartridges. If you do register, please use my team referral number, 62956, so my team gets credit! Good luck!!
We do bake sales--cupcakes and pickles (this satisfies the nutrition police in Ga) and sell during lunchtime to the kids. We average $125.00 a day easily. especially if we have done a good job of promoting it. We usually make the cupcakes or ask parents for donations and sell them .50 each and the pickles are also .50 each.
What kinds of activities are you doing now? Have you done spiritwear? What about family nights at Dairy Queen. You can also try penny wars. This is fun and academic.
I work at a small school. 130 mainly low income kids. Our teachers are our main workers and donators for any fund raising project. They are getting burned out fast. What do other small schools do to raise money when the majority of the parents will not get involved?
