We do this. I am not sure how many people actually participate, but we get a check occasionally for no effort at all! A couple of times a year I add the info to a flyer already being sent out.

Gonna pop this back to the top, I just found info on Verizons 5% Extra Credit and wondered if anyone out there has used this? I just forwarded the info on to our Principal, and I called Verizon (They don't have any promo items anymore for this plan, only what is on the website)

Any positive or negative experiences with this program? Looks like an EASY fundraiser!

Check out the website -- Verizon Extra Credit for Schools. There is a section on frequently asked questions. Also they will send you promotional materials if you call and request them.

The website states that the following calls can contribute towards the 5% donation: toll-free calls, calling card calls, residential long distance 1+ calls, and international plans. Verizon Freedom Plans qualify in select states only.

Is it Verizon "regular" phone or wireless phone? We only have Verizon Wireless out this way.
