Family Night idea?

I think the Bingo Night sounds like a fun idea but I had a couple of questions. The 300 gifts that you buy, is that for the whole year? You have 20 - 30 winners each night??? Did you make your own cards or buy them??
Thanks for any help you can give.
I'm new to this board but I've enjoyed gathering all of this great information.

Heather:

Unless you have a bunch of super volunteers waiting in the wings for something to do, I would leave your event AS-IS!!

Food, plus board games will be PLENTY for everyone to do.

If you assume that eating will take 30 minutes and the board games will take a minimum of 1 hour. How long do you want this to last?

If this is being held on a school night, the little ones need to be in bed by 8:30pm and you need enough "after" event time for clean up.

We do a family bingo night at our school. We buy 300 gifts from the dollar general store for prizes. We also use some of the books left over from the book fair as prizes. We sell bingo cards for $1.00. We have 20-30 winners each round. The kids have a lot of fun. Eveyone usually wins at least once and we make at least $500.00 doing it. It is fairly easy to run compared to other fundraisers and we usually hold a family bingo night once a month.

We are holding our Family Pasta Night next month. The food is coming from a local Pasta company for a low cost, the desert is being donated by SuperFresh and we are setting up board games for everyone. I was looking for a Family craft idea. That way we do not need helpers for the kids because each family can make one project together. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. or anything else that make this night more enjoyable because this is our first time doing this.
THANK YOU!
Heather
