The box tops web site
www.boxtops4education.com
has some clip are you can use as well as a listing of all the products the labels are found on. They may also have some standard form letters you can use.
We run a contest each year and here is what we do. Each class has their own container in their classroom to put their box tops in. At the end of the month one of their class moms counts the labels and turns them in noting how many they collected. Every month we post the new standings so that each class can see where they stand and this helps keep it competitive.
This is basically what our letter says...
We are challenging the children to bring in as many box tops labels as they can. The class that brings in the most Box Tops labels over the course of the year will win a pizza party.
Each classroom in grades K - 3 will have a box for the children to put their box tops labels in. At the end of each month the boxes will be emptied and counted. We will keep an ongoing list of the standings.
Why do we do this? Well, Box tops will give our school money for every box top we send to them. Many times we forget and throw these items out instead of turning them into the school. This is such an easy way to raise funds without anyone having to go out of their way to do so. In most cases many of these products are items you buy frequently and you may even have some in your home right now.
This is also a great way to get the children involved and make them feel that they have a hand in contributing to the success of their school.
