We do. Five homes. We dont' do it at night though. $15 tickets in advance, $20 at the door. We get sponsors to pay for tickets, brochures, and poster printing. We also get volunteers to play music in the homes during the toor and donated "snacks" in each home. Need LOTS of volunteer "hostesses" to be in each home (just about each room) to control the flow of traffic and protect the homesowners. We also get those booties donated from the local hospital to try to keep the hoemes a little cleaner.
we are going to do this in Dec. for a fundraiser. Has anyone done it? I think I had gotten the idea from here. If you have can you please share the do's and don'ts that you figured out after the fact of the tour.
I know I've got to get the homes, advertise etc. But how many homes (we are rural), how much to charge, serve refreshments, what did you give as a thank you, time--needs to be into the evening so you can see the lights outside, but how long?
