I think that it depends on the type/quality of food and entertainment that you are offering. Some events are truly galas, black tie, outstanding food offerings that you cannot ever get anywhere else, so a higher fee. If just chips and sodas, lower end.
Our silent auction was in conjunction with our fall carnival and we charged $3 admission. For what you are offering, I think $15-$20 would be reasonable. At $75, most of our parents would not or would not be able to attend. Depends on the economic level of your school.
Last year we did our first silent/live auction. We were very successful and raised $17,000. We charged $15.00 to attend and this included a dinner, dessert and coffee. I recently saw that another education foundation was charging $75.00 to attend thier auction and I was wondering what you guys charge to attend your auctions, how many people attend, and how much profit do you make?
