Our school has also done Yankee Candle fundraisers. Everyone loves the candles but the chairperson is always ready to pull her hair out by the end. The prices are not in round numbers, no software to make it easy. When the orders come in, they're in big boxes, everything has to be sorted. BUT, everyone loves them! We just did another candle fundraiser and it didn't do as well as Yankee, probably because of a lack of brand name recognition, but who knows...
I have done Joe Corbi pizza kits. They're mostly an East Coast company I think, out of Maryland. The pizza's were good, easy to sell, good service, delivery and profit. We don't consider them for our school because we do Market Day. I've done them for our Boy Scout troop.
Little Caesar's Pizza does pizza kits. Check out www.pizzakit.com. My daughter's dance school did this last spring. I wasn't personally involved in the fundraising, but I believe the profit is $5 per item, and the quality is pretty good. Sorry, I don't know a thing about candles.
Our next meeting, May 3rd, I have to present info on fundraisers. 2 that I have been asked to look into that I am having a hard time getting info on is pizza kits and canles. I thought a few years ago at another school we did a candle sale with Yankee Candles but now I can't even find where they do fundraisers. I need to know what the best companies to use for these products are and how to get in touch with them. Any past experiences ( good or bad) selling these products would be go info also. Thanks for any help you can give me.
