If you really want to raise funds and continue to raise funds, I would suggest making a personal effort to contact businesses. We have over 250 local businesses that donate each year to our fundraising due to the personal relationships we have built. Some years it is even more.
Hi all...we are about to embark on a mass mailing to local businesses to try to raise funds for our playground. Do you feel it is necessary to call all of these businesses or is a letter enough? I feel a letter is enough only because I don't want to turn into a "telemarketer". I figure if they want to donate, they will...a couple gals at the last meeting had other thoughts...What do you all think? BTW, I am co-chair of this committee and the other co-chair doesn't want to call either!
