I did this with my fire company several years ago and were really satisfied with the product and the service. Delivery was right on the schedule they gave us. I'm looking to do this again with a Boy Scout troop in another town but I don't know how to contact them any more. Can anyone help?
I looked at the company, Pride, and had some concerns about their fees. You need to look at the per game fees carefully. We have a small town, and the Pride fees were more expensive than Unique. Unique did not have any per game fees. Another town, with a larger business base, used Pride and had success. There is another company, Late for the Sky, but they have a minimum order of 1,000 games with an average of 3,500 games.
It is a nice way to raise money, and at the same time create a memory of your town as it is now.
It is an interesting idea, but a heck of a lot of work. I have finished a board game for our town, proceeds to go to all 6 school libraries. I've raised about $13,000 - which is actually less than I anticipated.
I did have some issues with delivery, but all of the games did arrive. I had ordered 760 games.
I did not create this as just a fundraiser, but also a historical memory of the town. The box cover has pictures of our town from the past in black/white. The middle of the board game has colorful pictures of our town from today.
You have to have 40 local businesses pay to advertise on the board. So, if your town doesn't have a large business base - it won't work.
Has anyone done a fundraiser with the company Unique Promotions? They create board games. We have just completed one, and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experiences with their shipping schedule.
Thanks,
Robin
