I am sure you will get alot of donation letter examples off of here but with local businesses(at least around here--small town USA LOL) We get a better response if we go in person and ask--I mean its alittle harder to tell a real person no then to just ignore a letter. We do take a letter around with us to the businesses--just so they have the paperwork as to what event they donated too and our group info.

I need to send letters to local vendors to ask for donations for a hotdog sale our school intends to have the night of parent/teacher conferences to raise money for the PTO. Does anyone have an example they could send me or any ideas? This is my first time to organize this event and I need all the help I can get!!
