I run an After Class Enrichment program and I was told about a business donation after it was too late. However, I will be calling them next year... I was told to go to our local home improvement store (Home Depot) and ask for birdhouse kits. I heard that they not only donated the kits but donated an employee to teach the class to another district elementary school. Make sure you walk into the store with a really big smile!
As I was looking through past posts, someone said their school has a Tim the Toolman club. We would like to try this, and do something special with the dads and kids. We were thinking of a contest for building any concoction they can as long as it runs on its own. Maybe have a building night and have them come and make toolboxes or birdhouses or something like that. We will use the dads for set up crews when we need them. We would like to plan a few more activites. Does anyone have any suggestions??
