Both Accu-cut and Ellison are die-cut companies, so all their ideas will involve using dies, but -- whether you have dies or not -- there's some great inspiration in both spots.

Our PTO has had a bulletin board every year. We purchased a small mail box and put it on their and that was our comments box w/ a small tiny lock. We put up our minutes to the meetings, forms (membership, volunteer, t-shirt order). Promoted any upcoming events and the monthly PTO newsletter along with extra copies. These were put into pocket folders stapled to the board. We changed the theme like every month. The volunteer picture along with their children highlighting them for their volunteer hours. The parent giving most hours of volunteer is reconized by being given 2 lunch tickets @ cafeteria. Hope this helps. Theme back to school with the bus and apples the apples had the different programs PTO sponsors, pictures from the previous years of the children at different activities. Then in September we went into a fall theme and kept it until the end of October. November we did a holiday theme. January - we new year theme, Feb-Valentines, March -Spring, April-Kids Highlights May-end of the year Summer.
Last year for our back to school bulletin board theme we bought a tree bulletin board set from an online supply company. It came with the trunk, branches and the leaves. We then used our die cut machine to cut out red apples. We wrote the names of different fundraisers, family fun night and events that the PTSO would be sponosring for the year on the apples and the dates for those events on a leaf. We then put those on the tree. It was a great bulletin board to keep up for the first month to let parents know what we had in store for the year!!
Hey, if you would please post your email, or email me, I will be glad to send you the themes that some here have sent to me. Several of these you can work into year round themes.
I'm a new PTO president, and just found out from our school principal today that the PTO is responsible for putting up a bulletin board in the main hallway. We've never been asked to do this before, so I'd really like to do a nice job. Plus, open house is a week away, so everyone will be walking by this board. I would also appreciate any bulletin board design ideas, especially since I need to come up with an idea quickly!
