We have had Outback donate and prepare food on site for our spring fair for the last two years. Carrabas (sp?) is doing it for us this year. We have also had pizza bingo in the past. Registration/sign up forms are sent home and it is a first returned first served thing due to limited space. I think we can usually hold 100 families. They have a choice of plain or pepperoni pizza and Coke or Sprite. They receive their food and bingo cards with markers when they get there. Prizes are donated by parents.
We did lasagna one year and asked parents to bake and donate. Last Spring we did in conjunction with Book Fair, "Evening with the Stars" where our Micddle School Band played a concert and a parent's company catered the dinner. We sold out of food although we had pre-sold tickets. An additonal 100 people showed up. It was a smashing success. In the elmentary shool where I chaired fundraiser, Carrabas catered a gala evening and we had a silent auction at the same time/
The last two years we have done a Dinner as a fundraiser, in coordination with a Family Math Night. They have been: Spaghetti Dinner & a Chili & Baked Potato Dinner. We want to try something different for this year but haven't been able to think of anything different(food to serve). We have done these because they aren't to difficult to prepare and most people like this type of food.
