We have done a tuition raffle for the past two years, in conjunction with our spring auction (silent auction, live auction, dinner/dance). We did not limit the number of tickets that anyone could buy (a few folks bought as many as 7!) and I think they were $100 each. We had to sell a certain number of them or the raffle would not happen. We have sold the required amount both years. In our state, you have to get some sort of state license to do this.
I know one school who sells tickets for $50/ticket a ticket (100 families in the school). The proceeds go towards a free year of tutition. If you don't raise enough for an entire year then the winner subtracts that amount from their tutition.
Does anyone run a tuition raffle to raise money for your school? Do you limit the number of tickets sold? Do you limit the number of tickets a family can buy? Looking for ideas
Thank you
