Need help with donation request for auction...

10 years 10 months ago #164604 by Rose H
Hi Candace,
Take a look at our auction section on the PTO Today File Exchange. I think you may find some documents that you could download and tailor for your event. For example, we have some donation letters that are for soliciting donations from businesses and individuals that could work for you.

The links to the donation letters are: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/document/10...ion-request-letter-1 and www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/document/10...ion-request-letter-2

The link to the auction section on the File Exchange is: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/category/10-auctions

Hope this helps!

I am also in need of a request for donation letter for a Chinese auction. Also, if anyone has a list of procedures, addresses etc of how to contact businesses on line it would be helpful. I am also trying to come up with a chinese aution donation request letter for our newly formed softball team. I would fondly appreciate a copy of this type of letter to get me started as I have never put one together for chinese aution type fund raising.

Thank you in advance,
Rita

yes, put your tax id number on any correspondence. i used a "cold call" letter, a "past donor" letter, and letters specific to the new prospective donor.

Hi This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., I've emailed you the Solicitiation / Donation ideas sheet that I had on my computer from the the Family Education boards - years ago.

There's lots of good ideas in their archives as well as being shared still today, and the more areas we can share and gather information, the more successful we can all strive to be, with the role of leadership and moderator of meetings and the organization (whether PTA or PTO).

Hope those solicitation/donation ideas help at bit.
