Hi All -

I'm going to close this thread, for sample letters (and sample docs of all kind), please check out (and share your own, too!) our File Exchange.

The File Exchange is here: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing

It's a great tool.

Dear *****,

Thanks to the generosity of people like you, the *** Elementay School PTO will be able to raise much-needed funds for the various projects we support at *** Elementary throughout the year.

Some of our projects include purchasing learning aides and materials, offsetting the cost of class field trips, updating equipment and we continue to build our school’s Media Center. Last year we were able to purchase 16 new computers and to support the cultural arts program by bringing theatrical performances to our campus.

Our current fundraising event takes place on Friday, November 3rd. This is our first annual Buckaroo BBQ and Live Auction. Your generous donation of
******* is greatly appreciated. This event will help the PTO raise the needed funds for this year’s worthy projects.

We are a tax-exempt non-profit organization. Our Tax ID# is
**-********* for your generous tax-deductible donation.
We, the PTO, thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

I'm trying to help someone out in raising money for school. Does anyone have a good donation letter that can be used, as well as some good tips and or helpful hints in how to go about asking local, state, and national companies for help? You can email them to my email listed below.

Any little bit can help.

Thank You,
