I would be so grateful to have this list shared with me also! I have received so many awesome ideas on this site and when I have things organized I would love to share.
Thanks...Kathy This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
Thank you Mandi. I will definitely check out their website. I think an online auction would work wonderfully because it would give more people the opportunity to bid on items if they can not come to the live auction. Thanks again.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas
God Bless

Jennifer,
We us cmarket which is an online auction site and follow up with a Gala. It works well for us because parents can view the items and bid online. It very easy for the donor and us to upload a picture of each item, and we keep the auction "live" for about 3 weeks.
You may want to check out their website and see if this is something that would work for your school.
Most of the donations received are now posted on the Ultimate Donation List. There are several companies on the site that have donated to everyone who sent in a request.
The majority of the donations for most everyone have come from local business and retailers. It helps if you can call and get the manager's name and send a letter to their attention.
I have found that faxing letters has not been successful while e-mails have worked the best for me.
I also secured business cards at our local craft fairs this past Fall and received several donations that way.
We are planning to have a contest between the classrooms. Rewards will be given to the classes that bring in the most donations - most likely pizza and ice cream parties.
