So, you're saying, you think it would be a neat idea?? I mean, hey, go snatch a few things of the housekeeping cart, write it off as a donation, and everyone's happy . . .
I'm actually on the hunt now for hotels in the Orlando area about giving a donation for a hotel room. I got the Air Trans tickets and Disney sent 4 1day hopper passes (yes I'm in shock!!!). I think its a great idea!! One that I might work on myself for next years Raffle Baskets. By the way..if anyone has success getting a hotel in disney, please please let me know.

I love it!!! What an awsome idea! OH I would kill for a set of towels from Embassy Suites! They may be more open to giving a $5 (if that) sign as opposed to $150 weekend package.
I know that some of us ask local hotels for donations of a weekend stay, etc. for our silent auction or as a prize. What are your thoughts on writing the "big" hotels (let's say, the Bevelry Hills Hotel for example) and asking for donations of, say, a housekeeping package? Has anyone done this? In other words, a nice, big-time fancy hotel might send a matchbook, do not disturb sign, writing pad, etc. Do you think it would even sell? Do you think I would be stupid to ask these big hotels for this? It just seems like such a small thing that, if I contacted someone nice enough, they might just drop it in the mail for me. What do ya'll think?
