I am pto president and I take suggestions from our board members ultimatly we weed out the ones that seem too difficult or just are not for us...
when the board finds one or two we then bring them up to the general membership and a vote taken. The company we used this year we were very happy with (my opinion is that if you go with a "christmas catalog" the merchandise is just about the same in all of them -- we found a great sales rep. -- why change a good thing?)but if parents brought new ideas to us we would vote on which one to use.

My dilemma is this in the past the board has always decided on the fall fundraising program. This year the Principle said why don't we invite others to our meetings with the different vendors and let them have input. I totally agree that evferyone should have a say but who makes the final decision if all is divided on the company to use? Alot of the parents want at our school want part of the decision making process but when it comes to physical labor they bail. Any suggestions, please help me out on this one.
