I think we do accept bids on things ahead of time...but it seems like it was only on live auction items (don't know why?). When they received a bid ahead of time, they started the auction with that bid. Don't know if that seems right, but that's what they did.

I wonder if any of you have ever displayed baskets/ auction items ahead of time and accepted pre-bids for people who can't be there the night of the auction? I was thinking about this today, and I know a local auction house does this for all of their auctions. One of our teachers has worked so hard on our fall festival and really wants one of our baskets but can't be there that night, and I would love for her to have a chance. Anyone ever done this? See any problems with it?
