I used these once with high schoolers. They worked great for those students that followed the rules. The best part was I could return any cards that weren't used and get my money back. Basically, no risk. The trouble I had using them is that some of the kids were letting their friends scratch off an amount, but would let them pay later instead of collecting right away. As long as there are guidelines, it wasn't a bad little fundraiser.
Has anybody here used scratch cards? They look profitable, but I'd like to hear any experiences. Did it work? How fast? Any problems?
Scratch cards are cards that you pay 20.00 each for. Then the kid would get fifty people to agree to the amount under the circle they scratch off, ranging from 50 cents to $3.00. The customer than gets a sheet of coupons. The total of all the circles is $100.00.
