Just to throw an idea out there that touches on this...the middle school in the next town over did an evening like this on a friday evening. I forget what they called the evening, but they charged $2 to get in. They had Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Candle lite, and various other vendors who sold things like pocket books and charm bracelets. Plus they sold food & refreshments. I was told that the night was a huge success for them.
I am a parent volunteer at 2 of my children's schools. I am most involved at my sons, we are just starting a parent group. I have done several avon fundraisers for different groups, including schools, senior centers, and a hospital ward. One of the best things in my opinion is that everyone can afford to purchase from this type of fundraiser, and it consists of items people buy regularly.
