You do need a school administrator to register your school. If you have a conversation with the principal about this, you can say that you'd really like the box tops to be managed by the parent group but would he/she be able to register your school on behalf of your PTO.
I tried to do Box Tops but if the school isn't registered, you need the Principal to set everything up. I was thinking of asking our Principal to do it but it may cause issues as far as where the funds earned from Box Tops would go...to the school or our organization.
