Our school district has a required uniform. 2 Wednesdays a month we hold NUT days. NUT stands for No Uniform Today. On those days the students who want to participate bring a dollar to school to pay for the privilege of not wearing a uniform. We collect the money and put a stamp on their hand so that their teacher knows that they paid. We still have some dress code rules like no sandals or flip-flops, no bare shoulders or midriffs, no short shorts. Things like that. The students love it and we make on average about $500 each time we have one of these. This is the easiest and best fundraiser that we have held. It costs us nothing to do it other than getting the principal's approval and the students love being able to show off their fashion.
