Hi there!
One thing to consider is to seek sponsorship (funds) from a few local businesses. For a fee, they could sponsor the program you produce for your crafting show or support your group in some other way. Also, you could try a raffle. Perhaps get a local company or national brand to donate a few prizes for your event that you can raffle. This has the added bonus of generating excitement for your event.
For ideas on soliciting donations, check our Ultimate Donation List thread on the message boards. Here's the link:
Our school did our first craft show in spring. It was a quick fundraiser and could have been done better. We are doing another in September. This time we will have a bake sale, food and drinks for sale and also doing a Chinese auction( we only did the auction last time). We charge $10 vendor or crafter fee. Any other ideas on making more profit for our school or has anyone had any luck with craft shows?
