Sad to hear they're going out of business but I'm not surprised. We switched away from them last year because they wanted a bigger cut, and no one seemed thrilled to buy them year after year.
We switched to a group called TriQuest (from Utah, I think) who has mobile coupons. Basically all the same stuff in the big book, but in an iPhone app. We're keeping 80% of sales (or $16 of $20) and donors seem to like it much better.
I know I've tried School Mall this year. We will do it again next year. It doesn't generate huge funds but it is easy. I was skeptical because of what I've heard. But I did my own research. Maybe you could try them in the fall.
We are going through the same thing. We don't have any news yet, and our order was supposed to be delivered this past Monday. What are your plans if they are unable to fulfill your order? Have they (entertainment) already cashed your check, as they have with us?
So we have heard from our Rep that Entertainment has declared bankruptcy and has closed it's doors. We are working with our rep to try and still get our cookie dough and prizes from them as our orders were to be delivered next week-
We will have to look at other options now for next fall instead of running our Entertainment book sale and cookie dough with them-- we'll see what we decide. Feel sorry for all those employees that were blind sided by the news-- they had no idea it was coming.
