We don't have an issue with parents turning them in. They submit them year-round -- even in the summer months. It's our coordinator that can't seem to get with the program. I think we're going to have to invite her to a board meeting and stress to her the importance of submitting throughout the year. We're losing out on so many points (several THOUSAND last submission in bonus points) and the PTO PAYS FOR POSTAGE!
We do 3 collection counts a year. Our Fall collection, a few days before Nov 1st submission date. And reward the highest class with a party. Our Winter collection, at the end of Jan. Again a party is given. And our Spring Collection, a few days before the Spring submission date
You can send in Box tops any time of year, however they only send out the checks twice a year.
We are going to begin reminding them to turn it in at the end of every month and that way we have smaller batches to count. And then store them in thier bundles of 50 in the office until we need to submit them. It will save us from having a long day of sorting and counting and packing right at the last minute.
I thought there were only 2 submission dates -- one in the fall and one in the spring. The BTFE web site is down for maintenance this morning, but the flyer they sent us to post/distribute says "2 times per year."
I am a Boxtop coordinator and I do submissions throughout the year. The amount of work it takes can be taxing so any offers to help your coordinator with sthe ubmission process will help ensure opportunities and bonuses are not missed out on.
Maybe offer to manage all the online certificates
Mother can offer their packaging skills
Another can help man the online bonus reminders...
Good luck!,,
Our current coordinator waits until the very last minute to send in the box tops/labels. We lose out on many of the Bonus points our parents collect because they expire so quickly. Does anyone make submissions THROUGHOUT the year vs. just before the deadlines?
Last submission, we lost out on THOUSANDS of points for both programs. GRRRRR This is easy money that our parents are working so hard for, but one person isn't taking seriously.
(Sorry if you saw this elsewhere. I think I posted it in the wrong place a time or two...)
