We are a Title I school as well and have success with the program once we took it over from the school. DO NOT USE SCHOOL TOOL BOX. We used them this year and it has been a disaster. School supplies did not arrive by the promised date. Poor customer service and excuses after excuse after excuse. We used EPI and everything was delivered in perfect order. Not great quality and we had an issue with billing afterwards. I'm glad to hear you had a good experience with SchoolKidz. We're looking at them for next year.
Cash and gift cards. My daughter's middle school fundraiser was a QSP magazine drive. I believe they had daily drawings for gift cards for people who turned in their forms; at the end they gave cash prizes to those who sold the most.
(Whoops--this was supposed to be posted in response to a question someone had about fundraiser incentives for middle school kids--has nothing to do with school supply fundraisers. Sorry about that.)

Looking for some feedback on school supplies fundraisers--we've done one now for a few years. It's never caught on in a huge way (probably because of the demographics of our school--we are a Title I school), but the parents who do order the school supplies seem to really enjoy the convenience of it. We put only a very small markup on it; it's more of a service than a true fundraiser.
We used EPI one year; it generally went well but we weren't thrilled with the quality of the supplies. Then we switched to online only ordering through SchoolKidz (part of Staples). We were very happy with them. I would use them again this year, but I don't have a volunteer to manage the program. So now I'm looking at School Tool Box, because they will ship directly to people's houses, and you can customize the standard class purchase to leave out things you don't need. So once I set up the class lists, there really isn't much effort involved on our part--and it could save people some money by not making them buy stuff they already have. But I can't find anything here on the boards about anyone who has used this company.
Has anyone out there used them before? Any feedback?
