Our school does a Spellilng Challenge that lasts one week and generally earns us $6-$12k for one weeks worth of work. It is fairly easy but just a large amount of paperwork. It can be done with spelling, math or georgraphy.

The general premise of the event is that kids go out and get pledges from family and friends and then study throughout the week to take a 30 word spelling test. They earn the money for each correctly spelled word. Each child has the potential to make $30 if they get just one sponsor for $1 per word. I can send a presentation overview if you like. Just provide me your email address.

papa murphys has discount pizza cards. You sell them for $5 and get to keep $4. If you have a local papa murphy's you should look into it. Also doing a rummage sale brings in a lot of funds, but it's a big commitment. You may also be able to contact local companies or dentists/doctors and ask for donations. We just sent out letters to local dentists, doctors and therapists. 3 days later we recieved a $20 check. You might also try setting up donation containers aat local stores or restaurants. Good luck, I hope you meet your goal!

Hi. My daughter's Destination Imagination team just won at the State level and are now moving on to compete at the Global Finals! While this is very exciting, we are estimating we will need to raise around $8,000 for them to go - and the final payment has to be made in about a month!

So, I was wondering if any of you have any ideas for quick turn-around fundraisers.
Here's what we have planned so far:
- Flower Power
- Rada Cutlery
- "Hats off to DI" Day at school - kids pay $1 to wear a hat to school one day.
- Local restaurant - working one night and will get a percentage of the proceeds and the tip jar.
- I'm also putting together a sponsor/donation request letter and form for parents to take to local businesses, and we've put together a spreadsheet to help track who is contacting which businesses/people so we don't ask the same one twice.

We have 7 kids on the team, so it is basically the kids, parents, and teachers who are doing the fundraising.

Would really appreciate any ideas you all could share!
