Has anyone done the "Down Under" fundraising with Outback? We're trying it for the first time. I think you can choose different menus/costs, but ours is a $10 card where we pay $5. The holder of the card gets an entree with one side and a salad. Entree choices are 6 oz steak, 8 oz chicken, or salmon.
I'm thinking it will go pretty well. Outback is a popular restaurant. I don't know that the card really saves the buyer anything. For instance, the steak dinner is 9.99 on the menu. (But I think the salmon is more.) However, you definitely don't spend MORE than the menu, get a good meal, and the organization benefits.
We're working on a Project Graduation event for graduating seniors, so we're also considering giving each senior 2 cards as a gift. I think being able to give them 2 steak dinners with a cost to us of $10 total would be great.
Last year we spent about $20 on toolkits. Figured it would be a good thing for someone starting out in a dorm or apartment. This would be cheaper for us and probably more appreciated by them.
