Wow! That's sounds nice. Or a varient on that. Give the tickets as u say then have a store like at Chuck E Cheese and places where u "sell" the nice prizes. Would also ned some trinkets for this for the leftover tickets or kids who only came and played a few games. Something to think about for next year. Of course, I think our kids would revolt if they didn't win the stupid things like fangs, etc.
Here's another idea for you--we do something a little different. Instead of spending money on a bunch of little trinkets that get thrown away as soon as people get home, our carnival prizes are raffle tickets--usually two tickets if you "win," one if you don't. Then we buy (or get donated) a selection of nicer prizes--board games, Target gift card, funky things from Five Below--set them up on display with jars in front of them, and have the kids put their tickets in the jars by the prizes they want. At the end of the event, we draw tickets from the jars and distribute the prizes then. We usually plan on prizes for about 20% of the expected kid attendance.
What's HOT with your ELEMENTARY school students? What kind of prizes would be hot commodity for the carnival? Would LOVE your suggestions before I order. Please list your region and local (rural, big city) and approx. number of students.
THANKS GREATLY!
