I won a couple door prizes for free hotel stays at a client appreciation event in May and really don't have any friends/family likely to use these. So thought I might offer them to one of you for fundraising.
Ground Rules
- Post in this thread by 9/25 if interested
- Include in your post which location wanted, your city/state, and how you would use the "prize". (it's not an essay contest - just brief info).
Don't post your address. I'll get it from the two recipients privately.
All I want is to know they won't go to waste and will benefit a parent group somehow. The most likely use is fundraising as a silent auction or raffle item. But Teacher Appreciation or some other use could work. I'll put the qualified names in a hat and draw one winner each, posting results back here. ("Qualified" means you followed ground rules above.)
Please be practical. If you live across the country and have no solid knowledge someone would be interested in this prize, that's not really going to yield great results.
I'm not listing the name of the hotel chain because I worry they would be inundated with calls for donated rooms and/or it might be construed as marketing, which isn't allowed in these forums.
Information below copied directly from the certificates. The certificates are generic and can be used by the bearer; no one's name is listed.

(Wording above is a bit ambiguous as to if it means one or two nights. I called and they said one, but it would be worth checking again.)
These are upscale properties often used by companies needing to house someone for a few days or weeks. But they get a lot of business and tourist travel as well. Each room is a mini suite. Includes breakfast with hot and cold items. Both have nice amenities, including pool. Each is rated very highly on Trip Advisor with tons of rave reviews. One got an average of 4.5; the other 5 (out of 5).
