Kickbacks signing with a vendor

I have been in this business for many, many years and no, you should not recieve any "kickback" for running the fundraiser. It is not right. However, many companies do not share that philosophy. I have heard of companies giving a new TV to the chairperson, buying her groceries, and many other bribes just to get the business. I remember one high school salesperson who made a habit of bringing the sponsor a nice expensive bottle of their favorite booze just for signing!

On the other side, I did have one principal who told me up front that there was no one to run the sale at his school and the only way he could get a person to do a good job was to pay them. He actually had my company direct 2% of the profits to two ladies who ran the sale for the school. While I thought this was weird, it was at least approved by the principal.

I'm curious to know if people who get fundraisers for their school get some form of a kickback from the vendor. Anyone know about this going on? Example: If I am the person signing a contract with a vendor who will be supplying us with wrapping paper, would I get a small percentage of all sales at the end of the fundraising?

Thanks
